From the trenches of my own personal experience inside the medical maze, I'm ecstatic to contribute to this blog which I hope will become a home to so many elbowing their way through the rough and rugged world of health (or lack thereof).

After traveling all over the U.S. to find out why my 25 year-old body was falling apart, I became a patient pro. Finally, in February of 2007 I discovered the reason for my neuropathy and other suspicious ailments that no one could unscramble - a missed case of Lyme Disease and other co-infections. Since then, I've been ferociously fighting to regain wellness. Because it went undiagnosed for so long, my state of health is often complicated beyond recognition.

This blog will feature my journey to India for embryonic stem cell therapy, as well as serve as information and support for anyone ready to take charge of their own healthcare. If any one man (or woman) can move a mole hill, it will be me. And, from what I know as a patient.....it's gonna take a lot of muscle. Ready or not, here I come.

Welcome to Healthcare Hacks - feel free to stay awhile.

How to contact the doctor in Delhi

Submitted by Amy B. Scher on Sat, 2007/12/08 - 22:37.

Hi Anonymous,

Thank you so much for your comment. Dr. Geeta Shroff is overwhelmed with inquires, so it may take some persistence and time to get a reply from her. But, her information is below:

Email: geetashroff@hotmail.com
Mobile Telephone: +91-9810061275
Dialing from the United States: 011-91-9810061275

I believe she prefers that someone first send via e-mail a detailed health history. After that, she will contact you by e-mail or you can call her.

Hope this helps and thanks again for the good wishes.

Submitted by Anonymous on Thu, 2007/12/27 - 20:03.

I was referred to this blog by an older couple that knew you, where in India are you getting this treatment? So what kind of stem cells are being used.
What is the name of the hospital? I didn't know they did this there.

Trying to reach you

Hi Amy:
I believe you are returning to India in a few days. I'm a reporter and am working on a story on Dr. Shroff and wanted to meet you when you get here - I live five minutes away from Nu-Tech. When are you coming? And would you be okay with meeting up? cheers,Sonya
